We are hanging out at the airport in the SAS Lounge. So I thought I would take a minute to let you know that we're headed out of Chicagoland, on a new cruise adventure!
In a few days will be cruising but for now we're flying to Amsterdam where we will spend two nights, pre-cruise. We board the Holland America Line Nieuw Statendam on Sunday. Then we will spend the next 11 nights on an itinerary, called "Legends of the. Fjords" which cruises up the Norwegian coast, and back to Copenhagen Denmark, through numerous scenic waterways flanked with Scandinavian architecture, old and new. It will be another scenic voyage for sure!

This will be the first authentic Scandinavian experience of my life, even though I'm 100% Swedish by decent. We only have a short layover in Stockholm Sweden, but you know they say it's all the same.... These countries are about twice the size of The State of Illinois! People and culture simply can't be that different! Yep now I'm in trouble for saying that!
