Our family has done this, creating lifelong memories. One trip in particular stands out: Lynn and Rob with daughters Amy and Suzee flew out to L.A. with Lynn’s mother, Joyce. There we met Lynn’s cousin Mark, and his wife Amy – from Boston. Ages ranged from 13 to 78. We selected this late December Cruise as an alternate to standard “Christmas” at home. We just LOVE Mark and Amy and had not seen them for a long time..

At the start of each day we would agree on a place and time for dinner that evening. Most evenings we ALL dressed up and ate “fancy” dinner together in the dining room. One night Mark and Amy had a romantic dinner for two. The ship even served us a fancy Christmas Dinner on December 25th! – no extra charge.

On sea days the cruise line has activities for EVERYONE. Kids played with others their age, Grandma socialized and played bingo with others her age. And us “working folk” laid by the pool and relaxed. We enjoyed the company of cousins, our friends who don’t travel to our home town any more.

Depending on the port, we would divide or hang together. In Mexico the youngsters (that included Rob and Lynn) went zip-lining while others took a leisurely city tour. Mark and Amy took a taxi to a romantic beach one day. And at yet another port we all took in the local culture while sharing a bucket of beer. It’s actually time for us to cruise with Mark and Amy again soon!
